Work starts on Circle South Park luxury apartments

Construction started Monday on Circle South Park - a $52 million luxury apartment community by Crescent Resources near Piedmont Town Center in SouthPark.

The apartments, expected to be available in summer 2013, include 321 homes on a site on Carnegie Boulevard and are designed to feature classical traditional architecture, according to a press release.

Circle South Park is being financed by an equity investment from Crescent, construction financing from J.P. Morgan Real Estate Banking, and mezzanine financing from Nationwide Real Estate Investments.

The complex will be the third Circle community community developed by Crescent in the Charlotte area. Circle communities offer programs such as pet happy hours and volunteer opportunities, to enrich social experiences and foster a sense of community among residents. The South Park project will feature a multistory health club, two-acre dog park, pond with walking trail and a saltwater pool with sun deck.

Apartments will include a mix of studio, one- and two-bedroom floor plans and feature stainless steel appliances and stone countertops.

Contractors involved include: architect The Preston Partnership, LLC; landscape artchitect LandDesign; civil engineer ColeJenest & Stone; interior designer Vignette Interior Design;  general contractor State Building Group and property management firm Greystar.

Too bad there are no architectual renderings of the proposed project or a site plan to review. However, with Vignette Interior Design doing the interior design work, I'm sure it will be amazing. They are so talented!

Go look at the rezoning request and you will see the renderings.

Has anyone seen the petition at the corner of Barclay Downs and Morrison? 300 more apartments. 600 across the street have been approved. SouthPark will soon be Buckhead and I am not implying this is a good thing.

With interest rates expected to be low as well as prices just from a pure financial decision why would you want to rent a place that will be double the amount of a mortgage?

Whats an "artchitect"?

Charlotte is a transient city and employers are moving away from hiring full time and are instead going the route of keeping a contracted staff. Charlotte needs more rental properties so that the city can keep up with this trend. No one wants to buy when you know that you are only going to be here for 6-9 months.

What are these people thinking? ARE THEY THINKING? The Vue will have 380 high priced rental units on the market in the next 8 months. NO WAY there is a market for this and the Vue. Sorry, BUST CITY!!

Yeah, I have to agree with the post at 12:56PM...Definitely BUST CITY!! Sorry but the city of Charlotte,NC is not the market for luxury apartments right now. More people are trying to relocate out of this city than acually move here. FACT.

I love how you put FACT in capital letters in front of a complete falsehood.....

I moved to Charlotte from Mami Beach. Charlotte us a Nice city, but highly over rated. Go anywhere after 10pm on a week night, all kitchens are closed, go anywhere during a sporting event, and you will find yourself bored. More high end apartments? So they can go eat classless burgers and fries at the only night venues in south park? Yes! I won't pay $2500 for an apartment in the middle of NOWHERE and walk down to MACs on piedmont..are you kidding me!

you can find student accommodation in London or property elsewhere to suit your budget and needs. If you don't have accommodation sorted for when you arrive in the UK, then staying in a London hostel for a few days may be your best option. serviced apartments london
